I am having an electrical problem with my '90 Legacy Wagon. The first thing noticed was with the AC, the compressor would work sometimes and not sometimes. Now I have noticed a clicking sound in the dash and when that occurs, the engine hesitates (I guess that's the way to describe it) and the compressor stops on the AC. It will go along like this for a few miles and then it will quit and engine and AC works fine. Then it will do it again. It's an off and on sort of thing. Any ideas on what might be wrong? Thanks in advance for any help given.

I think your New Car Light's on.

If this problem only occurs while the AC is on then I would suspect there is a problem in the AC control circuit causing the AC to turn off an on again. Turning the compressor on and off changes the load to the engine and this may be what you are experiencing while driving.
