Guest subu luvr
are the essentials there for such conversion?
Guest Turbone
They are if you have the wiring harness from the cluster forward to go with the dash. Rob
Guest baccaruda
i've been meaning to ask about this as well.. do you have to change any sensors or anything?
Guest Flowmastered87GL
I would imagine the oil sensor would have to be changed as its for a light on a digidash and a guage on analog. Water should be the same I assume (still works on some sort of scale, not on/off) same with fuel. You may have to run voltmeter wires since the digidash doesnt have one. My mechanic back home used to do it for used car dealers when they would get a car with a fried digidash. He said he would lay down under the dash with 2 wiring diagrams and reconnect stuff. I'm sure its a bit more complex, but it sounded as if you have both diagrams you can do it.

Guest baccaruda
hah, i'm steering right into it Mike, is there any way you could get more details on that?
Guest SOOBME
Me too, I may be looking into doing this soon, I have the dash in my parts car. I think I have any of the sensors I might need too.
Guest Flowmastered87GL
Andy, what it sounded as if my mechanic would do is cut the wires off the digidash plugs (that plug into the cluster) and solder them onto the ones that plug into the analog cluster. Probably going like green to blue and red to orange or strange color matchups like that. But thats what the wiring diagram is for. Andrew (Hondasucks) had done that on his 84? GL-10 when the digidash burned out. I think he drove it that way for a while before finding a new unburned dash (the way he did it, it was easily reverted back to digidash)
