hey you guys i have an 89 gl wagon and recently i was given a 3 inch lift kit that is not complete so i have to manufacture the missing pieces. the parts i dont have are the blocks under the drive shaft centre bearing, and i have to add blocks to the tops of the plates that the radius rods and the engine crossmember bolt to. i assumed that it would be all 3inch's but i had a look under a wagon with a 2 inch lift and both the parts i need to make were less than 2 inch's. 2 inch;s is about 50 mm and those bits were only 40mm is that the norm.could some one out there with a 3inch lift get out the tape measure and check the heights of these parts and get back to me so i can get to it and make them up. thanks guys.

sorry guys mistake in first post that crossmember that bolts to the plate that the radius rods bolt to is the gear box cross member not the engine...

not sure about the ea82 kits, but on the ea81 kits, the radius rod blocks (for the plates the tranny crossmemember mount to...) are shorter to help keep the drive shaft tucked up, and to help with the shifter...

on the 3" kit, the blocks are 2".

come on guys got to be someone out there that can help me. as for pk davis thought it would be bad manners to ask him as he would probably want to sell me the parts.and that would be fair enough but i can make them for nothing as i have an engineering shop at my disposal.all i need is the measurements.

I dont like to sell the individual parts, busy enough with kits. On the 3-inch EA82 lift, the radius blocks and carrier blocks are 2 inches. r/PK

hey pk thanks for the info,i figured that selling individual parts would not be something you would be interested in. but i appreciate you giving me the measurements.

Speaking of lift kit answers!

PK-- did you ever figure out what it would cost you/me to fabricate the EA82 skidpan spacer?

I reckon it is about the same as the ea81 spacer. I dont have an ea82 anymore, and my Loyale didnt look like it would work because of the slight factory air dam. I need to go to the pick n pull and measure. Just havent had time, sorry... but I will. r/PK

There are 3 holes for the ea81 spacer and are exactly 5 7/8 inches apart. On my Loyale the body interfered with the area in question, so I cant be sure to make the spacer one way and not have it fit another... i.e all ea82 Subes.

The measurements you gave me were only for two bolts? Also, I dont know how long (14, 18, 20? inches??) to make it.

It would be easier for someone to go to Home Depot or Lowes and get some 2"x3" box channel or tubing and cut to length, then drill the holes appropriately. I hear even a nice hardwood, painted, will work very well. For me, cutting, drilling, de-burring, painting, and shipping wouldn't be economical.

I'll try to get to the yard this next week. r/PK

economical--

your talking to someone who sprays aerosol at the ozone lair.

Money talks Patrick, common buddy!

I would rather have 8 gauge steel over any wood any day.

Let me know. Ill just wait on YOUR measurements then.
