Looking to fix a front end wobble that is more pronounced at low speeds but, still noticeable at higher speeds 40+. Feels like a side to side movement, not one that you could associate to flat tire or alignment. Maybe a tie rod problem? I noticed a rubber boot that is split. Not the CV joint but, not sure on what it is. Tie rod?

Does not get worse as we acclerate. It is worse at 0-20, then isn't quite as noticeable. BTW it is a '91 Legacy...AWD. Thanks for the idea on tire...one thing hadn't thought of. Experienced that one before. Running BF Good's at this time. Usually a pretty dependable tire.

Thanks

Could be a separated tire - I've had this problem too. What's the car? 4WD or FWD? Is it worse when accelerating?

Ok - this may sound funny - but I had a warped front disc that caused exactly those symptoms. Funny thing was it was barely noticeable on braking. If you have a DTI, check the runout. If you don't - just raise the front wheels one at a time & turn them by hand. Listen & feel for any binding - they should turn smoothly.

"warped disc"? You mean disc pad or rotor? I can see a rotor but, not a warped pad!

....the belts on the rear tire started to separate. Apparently not a front end situation at all. Could have knocked me over with a feather. The only place I didn't really pay any mind to. And why I got so much wobble in the front end I guess I can't figure. Replaced the tire, no more wobble!

Thanks for all your suggestions.
