My question to you all is.....I have a 91 Liberty (Aussie Legacy model) with the 2.2 boxer A/T no mods done to it (yet)....Just wondering....I want to get a nice sports exhaust system on it but just need advice to whats the best size performance wise....Don't wanna get something to big and being new to subies a little advice would be great.....Thanx Guys Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Setright Posted September 23, 2004 Share Posted September 23, 2004 The standard system isn't that bad a size, the only restrictions are the catalyst and the rear silencer. For a normally aspirated 2.2, 60mm pipes should be plenty. Larger sizes are best reserved for turbocharged engines. When buying a new rear silencer try to find something with dual pipes exiting the system. Two smaller pipes will flow as much as one larger one, but the big one will produce a low frequency drone on cruise.... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
