Guest tompalushock
Ok, my 83 gl has a problem with the lower vents. When i have the a/c on, the air still comes out of them, as with the defroster. When in the defroster mode, the air does not come out at all on top of the dash. I took the console apart, and all the cables seem to be together, but to get to the plastic type pulleys, it seems i would have to take the whole heater duct off, which i don;t want to do. Is there an easier way to close this vent so the air just comes out on top, and with the a./c on, out of the upper vents?
Guest electryc monk
i wonder if a vacuum line cracked/broke/got loose/fell off? if the EA81 dash is remotely similar to the EA82 Dash stuffings then the lower drivers side nearest the gas pedal there is a few vacuum and temp cable parts to take a look at. Not sure if that even helps...
Guest tompalushock
Well, the a/c works, air blows out of the upper vents, but it should not be blowing out of the vents below[by my ankles, correct}? same with the defroster, when i put it on, no air comes from the top of the dash, but is sure does come out strong by the bottom vents.
