any ideas about why my 91 legacy awd would studder at slow speeds while turning? seems like something wants to stick or almost like an anti-lock brake system working but it doen't have this feature... any ideas? btw, this only happens at about 2 week intervals.

I'm assuming you have an automatic?

If so your experiencing binding in the AWD system of the transmission. First thing I always suggest is to replace the transmission fluid. If that doesn't help, we can go from there on suggestions.

Do a search on torque bind and you'll find some more information.

Can you make the studdering happen if you go in a parking lot and do circles with the steering wheel at full lock?

If so, you might want to try putting a fuse in the FWD fuse holder to disable the AWD temporarily. If inserting the fuse makes the problem go away, that should tell you right away it is the AWD system and not something else. If the studdering is still there, then it could be something like tie rod ends like Jamie mentioned.
