dincolo85 Posted October 15, 2004 Share Posted October 15, 2004 hey, new here, hi everyone! but i have a rattle in my front end. sounds like a heat sheild, or somehitng like it. i have gone through and tightned down ever shield in the whole car, but stil have this rattle. is there any history of rattles on the car like this? i don think its related to any of my mods, but it might be. (i have an intake, headers, downpipe, catless exaust, boost cont, sloted roters/cermaic pads, and aturbo timer.) but has any one heard of a ratle like this befor??? TrailWalker Posted October 23, 2004 Share Posted October 23, 2004 Greetings. I don't know, but my 96 Outback has had a rattle, that is engine speed dependent. A knowlegeable friend said it was probably the baffles in the exhaust system. I have not had it checked out at the shop. Mine is at 186k miles now, so the exhuast could be due for replacement.
