I am putting some used calipers on my 88 RX and I want to clean them before I put them on. what can I use? I don't want to take the rubber stuff off of them so I think that takes out brake cleaner.

Check out a can of Electric Contact Cleaner. It may not eat away rubber like brake cleaner, but it still degreases and cleans. They should have some at a normal parts store.. just read the back of the can first.
