Guest jclay
O.K, so i spent 2 unsuccessful hours last night taking my dsh apart with the hope of changing my CEL so i can once again pull codes, and diagnose deeper problems. Unfortunately, according to chiltons, the only way to do this is to dissconnect the Air Bag, and loosen the steering column. It sounds expensive, has anyone ever had this done? what kind of dollar figure am i looking at? thanks in advance, Jared
99obw
The instrument cluster is easy to get out of the gen 1 outbacks, provided a tilt steering wheel is equipped. Other models I am not sure about. Haynes sucks a little, chiltons sucks a whole bunch IMNSHO. The FSM is the only trustworthy source of information for any make of car. What model car? 99obw
Legacy777 might know the details about your car, but it sounds like you have the right idea.
