Kakui
Hi all, this is my 1st post here. I have a '99 outback with about 87,000 miles on it. Bought it brand new and intended to keep it for a long long time. The dealership where I bought it from has been doing all the maintenance/repairs. As soon as the warrenty was expired at 60,000 miles, problems started to pop up here and there. The biggest one was a damaged wheel bearing (in a Subaru?! I was pissed...). Yesterday I took the car in for oil change, they claimed that there is a seal leak and it will cost $200 to fix. I am starting to feel suspicious.... Am I too paranoid? Need your advise. Should I stick with them or find a small indepedable shop (Can someone in Portland, OR recommend a honest dependable mechanic?)? This is my first Subaru and I don't know if I will buy another one again in the future.

Subaru's are great cars and a local Subaru specialty shop will be a much better place. Cheaper and they are way better at diagnosing issues. I do not have any recommendations since I am in CO, but I sure someone here will know one.
