2 November 2002. Saturday........

We will meet at about 10:00 am. If you want to come early feel free to show up.

Wharten state park in the Pine barrens of New Jersey. We will meet at the ranger station in Atiston(sp). From there we will go for a offroad tour of the Pine barrens. This is going to be the first meet. This will judge how the next meet will be and where. If we get enough people together and bang our heads together we can plan for the 2nd meet.

First off we will need a head count of subies and people coming.

So EJ,will there be a place for non trail riders to hang or a show area?Just curious.

Most of the trails in the area can be made with a AWD or 4 wheel drive Subaru. They are just sand, some deep spots, but all together passable. Its been really dry the last 4 months, so there is very little mud.

hey ed...
usually about 50 degrees and sunny in october/november...

moose...
pine barrens is about 20 minutes from philly and about 10 minutes from a few different malls...let me know what u have in mind and ill try to dig up a map of some kind by then for the wife and kids

Ed I believe you can camp in the park. You have to get a back country pass or registor at the ranger station. I will check and find out for you and anyone else needing to camp or stay over night. There is a hotel/motel a couple of miles down the road from the park. Ed you could stay at the "EJ campground" I have a nice wooded spot near my house.

I'll keep you posted.....

SVX<I was there last Sept.15th White Brat.ran with the lead (FAST) pack.Just wondering because others might not want to hit the trails with their rides and I might just park the old '78 and ride in a Hatch...we'll see.Sadly,my BRAT does not return.

Oh yea I forgot about the drought.... I am going to go by the ranger station sometime and check on camping and stuff. And I am sure there will be plenty of seats for those who don't want to take there rides into the woods.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the message board, there are few guys here into subys, I have a friend who has an 89 RX and I have an 89 XT6 AWD. I'd like to get up with you guys in november. Were out of CT.
I also have a question for anyone that can answer, I'm putting a tranny from an RX into the XT6 to get the low range, the LSD rear end from the Rx is 3.7 and the 6 is 3.9, can this be done without issues?

swap the rx driveline from the bell housing back...it will bolt up, and ur stock xt6 axles should work too

bring the car in november, moosens will be coming from the north, maybe u 2 can caravan?

Hello guys,
I'm going to fill out the bio in a bit, but I wanted to let you guys know that I'm in a jam at the moment and wont be on for a while, when I put the motor that in the 6 in, I resealed it and cut open the air box ant the bottom, skirted it and opened the body silencer hole, I tried to pass under a bridge, forgot this mod and took in water in the intake, the moter locked and in taking the plugs out I found the crank wont move but about 3 or 4 turns before and aft and locks, I'm pulling out today, wish me luck, this moter is expensive to by parts for.....thanks for your help on the tranny thing, I guess i'll be doing more than that now.

I took the motor apart down to the block and tried to get the block apart (first time for this!) and could not get the block apart all the way to see exactly what locked up, had a hard time getting the pistons out. I have another moter with supposed bad head gaskets to use the block from.
how much do you guys want for that motor, i'm in CT? and is it in the car still?

Here we go again guys.... everyone wanted a date and now that a date is posted no one even posts. I get the feeling this is going to end up like all the other meets we tryed to get going. Everyone sayz "I'll be there" Then its just me and some guy with his dog.

I hope I am wrong, maybe everyone is just busy and will post soon. Keep'n my fingers crossed.....

I'll be there. Can I bring my dog? You mentioned something about a dog in an earlier post, I didn't know if you were mad the guy brought his dog to the meet? If thats not o.k. I'll leave him home and bring my girlfriend.
