lon
Hi, I'm new to this forum and hope to find some great advice here. I have just purchased a great 2001 Legacy Outback sedan with only 35k on it. Does anyone know if I will void the engine warranty if I install a catback or the K&N flow-thru air filter? I've been told by our local dealer not to do either one. Thanks, Lon
mattocs
I have been thinking about when my exhaust system goes of getting a catback. Ask whoever provides the warrenty if it will void it. And with the K&N...just do a search. You will get no extra power, more small particles in the engine, etc. Some claim they get power and stuff...I dunno...but I don't think its worth it. If you really want the car to last...use OEM filters. If anything, do a real cold air intake system. You might see some extra power then.
