I'm going with the idea someone mentioned that maybe the drain hose (and snoop around some)has come off my 1997 GT Leagcy Wgn....anyhow! I hate playing with interior stuff! It's plastic! It wants to break! Often putting the stuff back is a horror show! Never looks rightagain! I've snooped around a little! I guess I need to take the "A" pillar trim off?! Just HOW do you do this?? Do you take a putty knife and convince that rope like trim off? I know I have to take the visor off, no big deal. Just how do you take that passengers "hold on" thing??? The grabber thing that sits above the window??? I don't want to guess my way through by experimantation on how this stuff is supposed come off! I'll destroy it!! I know many of you have done this!!! I had to remove the A-pillar trim, visor, and grab handle from our TS to install the map lights, and there may be some crossover info that's handy: http://users.sisna.com/ignatius/subaru/mods/maplights/ If this doesn't help hopefully someone else that's done it will chime in. As far as plastic parts, it's best to do these kind of things in a warm garage, or warm them up with a hair dryer beforehand. I've found this helps keep the plastic more pliable. Setright Posted November 5, 2004 Share Posted November 5, 2004 The thing to look out for is that all the pieces are interlocked. The rear edge has a hook or tab, sticking underneath the next section. I broke one of these on my Legacy because I didn't know...had to glue the thing in upon assembly. So, in short, you really should start from the rear of the car. That means the rear seat must come out first, which will give clear access to the rearmost plastic panels that cover the C pillar. It's a long journey!
