cantbe40
My 1998 Outback Wagon has been acting up. It is most noticeable when backing out of a parking space and then straightening out with acceleration. It kind of chug chugs and seems like I get heavy resistance until I am heading straight. The rear braking system seems to be heavily corroded. Ideas?

Ideas? do the 98s have Disc or Drum breaks in the rear? if its drum I believe it being corroded is no problem unless its also on the inside but that shouldnt happen if you use your breaks as for the chug it may be some part of the suspension Im not an expert but thats just what i know it might help and might not
SevenSisters
You can hope it's a cheap $400 brake job, but search for "torque bind" on the board. Sorry I had to tell you.
