also my steering rack is shot, is there a better one that will fit with a quiker ratio to it, is an rs rack better, will it fit, does anybody know these answers???

email me at tatum@adelphia.net

Do you have ABS or no abs? If you don't have abs, the only upgraded MC you can use is from a 94-96ish FWD SVX w/o abs.

If you have ABS you can use a 1 1/16 bore MC from a first gen legacy....in fact I think I have one.

For better pedal feel you can upgrade to the single diaphragm brake booster.

Why do you want more front bias. The WRX brakes should add HUGE amounts of front bias. You should be able to lock the fronts up at will. If not, I'd say you still have air in the system or possibly some other issues.

Yeah I'd look at an rs rack or some newer ones.

I know for the early legacies, some guys have gotten racks from the 97 gt's and they fit in, and provide better ratio and feel.

proportioning valve. Any good race supply shop will have them. When you start messing about with brakes you often end up with a bias one way or the other.

The factory will have worked weeks on setting up the original system for a proper bias and when we fit other componants we must compensate.

adj prop. valves will not work on a stock brake system. The stock system uses a dual diagonal brake system. In case one circuit fails, the other is there to stop you.

The only way to use an adjustable prop valve is to replumb the brake lines going to the rear to a single circuit.

ok so i used a 94 svx(2wheel. no abs) master cylinder and a wrx proportining valve, and now i got insane brakes, all this is on wrx brakes all round with ebc green stuff pads all around, im also using brembo cross drilled rotors all round too, the pedal travel is about 1/2 inch total, with lockup only happening with wheel skip on bumps, the rump roast end isnt locking up early anymore
