y'all seem to be forgetting something. the Impreza 22B does not have an EJ22G. it has an EJ22B engine. hence the 22B. it's essential the equivalent of a phase II version of the EJ22G. The EJ18E/Ej20x/EJ22E/EJ22G and the EJ251 phase I engine can swap cranks, but the phase II EJ25 has a different thrust bearing location, ect. so does the EJ22B, a different thrust bearing location.

It's different enough that in the UK, from a rumor that I heard, you can't order parts (ie: shortblock) unless you can prove you own a 22B. lol

Jon is correct. The Legacy Turbo is the Phase I closed-deck EJ22, and the 22B is the Phase II.

The Phase I has oil squirters, the Phase II doesn't even have a place for them, that enough makes the blocks decidedly different. Also yes, the 22B has a different thrust bearing location.

This is all sourced from a very knowledgeable Subaru aficionado Matt Monson, search the Legacy BBS for some of his posts.

666 here is what I said in a nut shell..."When I saw your car I got my rocks off and if I owned that car I would no longer need the services of my wife or adult entertainment."

What are the chances of getting a very hot UK'er (female) to pose naked on the hood and sending me some high quality pictures? Liz Hurley will do nicely.

Thanks,
Greg from across the pond

How about sound files of the car actually running. Nevermind the scantily clad women, they are irrelevant to this car. It doesn't need cheap tricks to advertise it. The car is plenty.

I never understood the girl on the bonnet/hood thing, anyway.

How would you be able to have it in the US? Wouldn't it just be impounded at customs? I remember something about Bill Gates trying to import a Porsche and they wouldn't let them.

I dont know what laws you have in the states but i guess each Sates is different...You might be about to get it Imported as a Classic Car or a Show car.. You would have to check with your State..
Im told there is a few 22B's in American already including one in Florida and one in Texas..

LOL....Man thats a wicked idea...(if only i knew Liz Hurley)..
I do however have a mate who knows Angel long (the porn star)
And i could ask if she'll do a few poses...
Hey i could just go for it and make a Calender!
Who would buy a 2005 Calender with a porn star and a 22B on each page getting up to no good?

If you wanted to be illegal, you could swap VIN's from a 2-door Impreza L and probably get the 22B over here. But personally, I wouldn't ruin such a rare car just to get it into a country that's generally boring to drive in anyway

there are loopholes for getting a car like that here into the states and it usualy just requires that a few mods be made for collision be made and also there is one at Cherry Hill, New Jersey too don't forget ;)

I will send you a pretty pound for a picture of that car with a fine female Butt-naked spread eagle on the hood. Have her autograph it (if the porn star) as well and I will be soooo happy.

This is your mission if you choose to accept it. This message will self destruct in 5 seconds.

Next time I'm in Dakkar I will be sure to nail some hottie (whom is not my wife) on the hood of the Roo Rally car and be sure to roll tape as well. So what if I have to get a divorce afterwords.....you only live once.

Any fine females on the board wanna get their freak on..on the hood of a rally car. (mental note: turn my legacy into a rally car.)

well spotted mate, it was on E-bay a few weeks ago...but it only attracted Motor traders trying to make a quick buck...this car belongs to a enthusiast..

I really respect that you feel that way, mate. ;)
