mattocs
There is a squeeking/squeeling sound coming from my front driver side tire area when I am turning. Does not happen all the time, but most of the time. Any ideas? Wheel bearing? CV joint?
RallyKeith
Does it go away if you are on the brakes or is it there all the time? Keith
mattocs
still there when i'm on the brakes. I don't think its brake related.
beezer
If it is squeeling it could simply be low tire pressure on front tire.
mattocs
If it is squeeling it could simply be low tire pressure on front tire. I'll check them this afternoon...but it does not sound like a chirping tire or sliding tire...you know what I mean?
mattocs
It may be the brakes. It seems to always happen on left turns and then driving...but when turning right it does not do it as much. I am going to have my brakes checked out tomorrow. zooma37
I have an 03 Forester and have experienced the same problem on left turns only. The tire pressure is fine, the brakes are okay, and I cannot figure out what's wrong. What about the backing plate? Would that cause the problem? The squeek does not occur all the time but when it does, it seems to happen on tight left turns. Any suggestions?
mattocs
Yeah...my front brakes were toast. Got new roters and pads and all is well.
