Anyone ever build one of these?

Hey there!

I came across this site while looking for a "buggy" project for my son.

http://www.rhinobuggies.com.au/

They have a couple of machines that look pretty slick. And since I happen to have a couple of Suby's just hanging around the back forty so to speak.....

I have a few questions for them, but nothing that can't be figured out.

So the question is: Anyone here built one of these or even seen one?

Thanks,

NV

Hey Guys,

The SubaruHummer is a Rhino kit with some modifications.

I wanted to make the Hummer also, but I couldn't justify the cost and shipping expense of the Hummer front hood section. It would have made the buggy an expensive build. At the time, I was looking to get around rust issues of a car with a perfectly good drive system (without spending big $$$).

Mudrat suggested the Rhino kit rather than lifting a rusty sub, because it may be a waste of time.

I'd tell you to build one! As far as I know I have the only one in North America.

It would be cool to get a group of them assembled.

The buggy is registered Off-road as a 2004 Rhino. On-road registration would have required substantial modifications (wheel wells/fenders etc...besides insurance, emissions and safety inspections). It's an off-road buggy!

Before you start one let me know, there are some problems with the RHD to LHD conversion etc...

There are also a bunch of modifications that you may want to do to the plans before you start the build.

Compare these to the Rhinobuggie Bandit pics
