Smell is too tight...squell is too loose. Sweet tips
So why is there a smell when it's too tight? I seem to be having this issue, after it started squeeling a little, I tightened it and then started noticing a smell later. However, I did not even realize that I could have tightened the belt too much. So why does is do that?

Were your hands greasy, or could you have spilled any lubricant on the belts?

after i installed new belts on my 2000 subaru legacy gt i am smelling what smells like the belts...is this a problem or is this just normal with new belts for a while?

Thanks

Ben
