idosubaru Posted December 20, 2004 Share Posted December 20, 2004 i'm trying to figure out how to determine if a 1996 Legacy is a wagon or a coupe based on the VIN. anyone with a FSM help me out? i've found 98-99 and 80-89 and other years...but can't find info on the 96 models. Go to http://www.carfax.com. Enter your VIN. Although it won't give you the vehicle history without you paying the 20 bucks, it will give you a few lines of basic info about the vehicle ... year, make, model, and body style.
