d_b Posted December 31, 2004 Share Posted December 31, 2004 I have a ‘98 Outback and have had 2 occurrences of not being able to turn the ignition to the lock position to allow me to remove the key. I tried moving the shifter, steering wheel and the key – all to no avail. Last night, after waiting about 1 hour, I went out to the garage and the ignition turned to lock and I was able to remove the key normally. Could something just have just need to cool?
