JaySun
1990 legacy wagon...was getting the exhaust replaced and we smelled gas...nosed around and discovered that the metal tubing coming out of the gas tank and then attaching to the fuel pump intake hose is rusted and leaking...any way to easily repair or is it a major deal? the car is great...205000miles and still chugging and i want to fix it up anyway...any help would be appreciated and great site! PEACE! sorry, i meant to post on the older gen thread...i'm a newbie!
Legacy777
You can remove the fuel filler neck pipe without removing the tank. Just get a new filler neck pipe and put it back on. What happens is the plastic cover over the pipe collects dirt and crud, and can increase the chance of rusting.

Legacy777
You might want to try the marketplace or the parts shed on www.bbs.legacycentral.org I believe there are a couple people parting out first gen legacies.
