Guest jon61484
Andrew said I could maybe try to find one of two carbs and work it onto my car (although I'm still tending towards rejetting the ford 2100 carb for the heck of it) A 4bbl hitachi from an late 70s mazda RX (3,4,whatever) or a 2bbl hitachi from a later 70s early 80s subaru 1.8L ea81 with the secondary linkage, anybody got any comments? Guest Caboobaroo
for starters Jon, the first carb is off of any older RX rotory motors. Second, the two barrels are on the EA71's like on my wagon.
Guest GeneralDisorder
All the EA81's (except the turbo), had 2 bbl hitachi's. I've got several lying around - probably need a good cleaning, but I know one ran alright. Idle was a little off, but I didn't mess with it, as I replaced it with another hitachi from my car that got a weber. All the ones I have are the feedback variety. Guest jon61484
ah, but what I mean't was, that I have a 2barrel now, and the one he was talking about had a mechanical secondary linkage, and he said they came off older soobs, but anyhow... anybody got one? I'm going to check out some carbs at u-pull today. yeah.
