Anyways my brat began leaking fuel from the tank the other day but i couldn't see where. Pull the tank today and its rotted on the front/top portion of the tank. I searched the forums a bit, maybe not enough, but where you guys been able to find replacement fueltanks for your subarus? I'm somewhat hesitant to go to a junkyard to get one. Seahag1978 Posted January 9, 2005 Share Posted January 9, 2005 I might be wrong, but ask Moosens, he may have one. I remember something about him and a Brat tank that was for sale? I tried getting one from my local dealership and it took one month before I was informed they aren't available anymore. Mine wasn't really leaking it was a little vent line that's on the top front of the tank that you can't see until you pull the tank. I had a hole in the gastank on my '89 RX from the j/y I bought it from so I got one from a fellow board member just a few hours away from me. Seems to work fine! PHATBRAT Posted January 9, 2005 Share Posted January 9, 2005 I know of one in a J/Y in Tabernacle NJ. Guy is pricey though and I can't tell you anything about the tank (If it leaks etc...)
