considering the XT6 5-bolt swap...

Recommended Posts

I just found an XT6 that I may have free access to. I'm considering just taking the parts for the swap, and want to make sure i've got the list right:

rear:

calipers, rotors, backing plates, brake lines, just like a drum to disc swap, right? don't need the rear shocks if i like mine already?

front: (impreza) struts, knuckles, rotor, caliper, brake lines.. don't need the lower control arm or anything?

obviously i'll want the rims/tires too.. too bad they're ugly :banghead:

are the axles the same as my turbowagon? (grab for extras)

I hope the seats are nice

Rear: Hub, Backing plate, rotor (caliper is the same on EA82's if you already have rear discs), brake lines

Front: Impreza struts, lower arms, tie rod ends, calipers, rotors, brake lines

IF you for some reason decide you aren't in a position to do it, I'm in need of the rear setup. Minus the calipers. I'll pay good money. I can pickup also :) Email me if you're interested.

Now that I finally have control of my web site again, I was going to update the 4 to 5 conversion page by adding a parts list with Subaru part numbers. I was looking at my XT6 parts book and it doesn't show a part number rear 4WD hub. So I'll list the parts without Subaru part numbers. Another thing, I have found that you can use an Impreza front strut, knuckle, and axle up front. The XT6 front calipers will bolt to that setup. It may be a week before I get the list there, so keep checking back.
