I noticed that the resistances are different. Will an 87 t wagon coil work in an 86 t wagon?

I am trying to diagnoss an irregular miss causeing cruise emmision failure.
Replaced:
O2 sensor
cap
rotor
plugs
plug wires
air filter
flapper door checked out good

will replace fuel filter tonight.
