baboonia
further to topic http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum...ead.php?t=29820 my friends mechanic installed my 1991 2WD auto tranny into his 1991 AWD Auto Legacy. The transmission only works in first gear and reverse. Has anyone done this transplant? What is the secret? He tried the FWD TCU in the AWD car and it doesn't help the situation either. stumped. WJM
First of all...he's smokin some strong crack. Needs to put an AWD tranny back in. SUBARUs are ment to be AWD. Seriously, it could be the fact that 2wd and AWD auto shifters are wired a little differently...could look at pinouts/wiring for that, or swap that unit. Also could be that the 2wd is bad.
