My name is Brad Willborn I purchased a 2000 Forester last summer and I just did my first oil change this past weekend. (I had it done at a Valvoline the first time) Anyway, the check engine light came on a week ago and I was looking for an OBDII scanner and found this forum. I was hoping the oil change might have helped but it is still on. I hope to learn alot from here and I hope I can help out too!
