Oil AT Temp light comes on for a second

Recommended Posts

not at all familiar with the new OBS i got yet. my fiance said the Oil AT Temp light comes on just for a second or two when she first starts the car up, but it didn't do that before. everything appears normal and the car drives great. any ideas? is this normal? i just got it and haven't had a chance to install a trans cooler and flush the fluid, but that is coming soon.

I think what you are seeing is a self test of the various systems. Mine does that too when I first start-up. All the different systems light up including the ABS.

haven't seen it myself yet so i shouldn't assume, but what if that light stays on a second or two longer than the others? that's the impression i'm getting from the fiance about it.

thanks.

It is normal. This light is coming from TCU and seems not in sync with ECU.

Persistent light=overheating

blinking light=error detected by TCU
