ok my EA71 in my wagon has crank seal problems, like both leak VERY badly. How much do you usually pay for them both? I'm just trying to get a rough estimate of how much they are before I go shopping.

I got a set at Advance Auto for something like $10-15. They are not that expensive. Make sure its not in fact your transmission seals if you suspect the crank seals because of oil stains under the car. I was leaving a puddle everytime I parked and it turned out to be the transmission side and rear seals.

Be sure to get EA71 parts. Some places will try to give you EA81 parts, so beware.

I'm almost positive that its not the tranny nor the oil pump seals. There was Massive amounts of oil sprayed up on the underside of the hood and I pulked the starter out and it was covered in oil. I do know that the tranny leaks a bit too but I'm pulling the motor and *freshening* it up a bit;) .....well maybe a little more than freshening:rollin:
