IM having oil leak issues... its coming from the back of the motor somewhere its not really bad but..... i checked the engine and got an incorrect oil measurement.. i put a quart in.. is a quart over enough to cause damage.. and the leak? Spazz698 Posted March 31, 2005 Share Posted March 31, 2005 Too much oil in your motor can cause seals/gaskets to go once you hit the gas hard enough. I dont know how much oil you need to put in in order to accomplish this tho, the one time I tried (I was mad at a mustang I had) I kept popping the half assed "seal" around the dipstick tube since the sleeve has snapped and it was only held in place by the dipstick.
