axxiom
I'd love to remove the airbag warning stickers from my Subie's sun visors. Has anyone successfully done so without leaving any marks? What would be a good procedure for sticker removal?
Guest jclay
I started a thread called "Sticker Removal?" not too long ago, but it was geared towards stickers on bumpers...However, what someone reccomended, that i tried very successfully, was to use a heat gun or hair dryer to dry out the adheasive, then peel off, after that, it's a matter of removing residue... TheBrian
I'm speculating, but I bet most airbag stickers are intentionally difficult to remove, for legal and liability reasons. I think you'd have a hard time removing the sticker and having it look like there never was a sticker there. What year Subaru do you have? In 1996, they sewed a plastic sleeve (which holds highway toll tickets nicely) with the airbag warning to the visor. It's not too obtrusive. The driver's and passenger's rooflines have opposite angles, so you can't just swap the two visors. It may be more than you're willing to invest, but you could have the visors reupholstered. Or if you have a '97 or '98, you should be able to install '95 or '96 visors.
