When I am driving highway speeds and then brake, when I get to about 30, the rear of my 95 Legacy shakes a bit and then goes away when I hit 20. There are no shakes during accellerations and this happens whether I am going straight or turning. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a brake shoe is not seated properly or loose. Do you have drum brakes on the car? Since the interior surface of the drum cannot be machined absolutely perfectly there will be slight variations in the friction of the drum against the shoe when braking. If the shoe is not seated firmly enough and the rotating imperfect drum hits it's harmonic frequency (in your case between 20-30 MPH) the shoe will vibrate.

Sorry if this is a bit theoretical; I am a bit of a science junkie:cool:

If you have rear disc brakes, they are probably warped. That's what happened with mine. Tried to turn them but since rear rotors are manufactured so thin, i had to buy new ones instead.
