So I'm looking into doing a 5-lug conversion under my '89 RX (yes its older gen I know). Well I know you can use parts from Imprezas instead of XT6s even though I'd still need the XT6 control arms, rear brakes, rear hubs. Well now here's the question. Is there anything different between a GC8 Impreza and a regular '95 Impreza wagon? I mean like bolting in differences not spring rates and stuff like that. I found a '95 Impreza wagon with no motor that I can get the front struts, hubs, rotors, calipers, ball joints out of for my conversion but I don't know a thing about the differences between the body codes. I DO know that the GC8 was a 4 door WRX Impreza something-or-other. So can I bolt the aboved parts into my car from the wagon? Maybe someone could also enlighten me on the different body codes and what was different between them...

It's all the same. I could stick an impreza front or rear hub on my legacy and it'd be no problem. I'm pretty sure even a brand new wrx hub would be interchangable.
