repair shop

Recommended Posts

It's very likly nobody here has been there. I would suggest comparing your quote and their curtesy with a minimum of 5 other shops. I call between 5 and 10 shops when I need work done. Comparing prices, estimated times, and their willingness to work with me.

Good luck.

For an eight-three subie?, I wouldn't bother. Their fee schedule is less than, but not much less than dealer work on your newer car.

There's a couple of Soob mechanics in and around Seattle that might be pretty good, just like those Volkswagen guys.

If you can't/won't do the work yourself, IMHO anybody reputable can do the general maintainence things. A carburetor shop will rebuild an electrically controlled carburetor for less than $300.00

(Hondas and Subies both have same issues). Read here about ECM issues (EGR solenoids and Oxygen Sensors mainly) and get 'em done at your local muffler shop, again probably cheaper than a place like Greg's or Carter. Carter is good about oem parts though.
