I own a '90' Subaru Legacy. I checked the codes on the transmission. The Speed Sensor and Solenoid C codes appear. Is it possible if the Speed Sensor is bad that I would get a false code for the solenoid? What is the easiest way to check the Speed Sensor 2?

Thanks,

Dan

Hey Dan,

It's very possible the speed sensor could have caused the duty c solenoid code.

What symptoms/problems are you getting? Or just that those codes are displayed?

If you're not having any problems, I'd just clear the codes, pull the egi/tcu fuse, and just keep an eye on things.

Hi Josh,

The car has an automatic transmission. Sometimes it would hold in third gear to long. That would happen only when car was first started. Then I noticed while turning right that the right back wheel wanted to drag around the corner. After all of this happen, then I got a flashing power light on dash after starting car. I checked the codes and that is when I got code 24 & 33.

Thanks,

Dan
