Sabre75
Hi, I have just dropped a WRX motor into My 91 legacy, I have done the Wiring loom transplant on the intake manifold ( my old loom on the new manifold), Is there anything elst that I should do ie Fuel pump Change the computer over. The Car is running really well but only boosts to 8lb as I am still running the Legacy computer, Also should I get the Legacy computer Fuel zones remapped? offroadsubaruguy
i would say that if you have the wrx computer, use it.... its just all around better.....
wagonist
I'd be careful doing that. There are some subtle minor changes in the wiring between the Legacy & WRX if you're talking about the series 1 Legacy that is.
EA82Turbo
Hello, Im thinking of doing the samew conversion. Was it difficult? Gearbox bolts line up? Can use standard RS loom? Also thinking of swap to WRX close ratio gearbox. Do WRX gearboxes fit? Gearbox width the same? spline count to axle the same? EG: can use legacy axles? wagonist
The pre 97 & post 97 gearboxes and engines have some subtle differences. Fitting a later box onto an early engine is detailed on the Oz Liberty RS forum. Otherwise, everything is a straight swap over.
UuuPIT
I have an opertunity to fit a STI v7 engine in my 92 Legacy. If I keep my auto tranny, will the new engine blow the auto tranny?
