We have been thinking about hitting the Dunes in Sandlake (Near Tillimook)
Oregon not sure the Date After the July Meet sometime , I would be taking my 88 Wagon and the family, probably stay over night at Pacific city on hwy 101 or maybe at the dunes Sandlake is on the Ocean you can drive on the Beach for over 1 mile, theres plenty of challenging Hills last time we went took my Sandrail powered by a Suzuki swift , have even took a modified Geo metro, looking for others who would like to take there Sewbies out in the sand its always nice to have others with you for support especially out in the dunes Scott,

I'll be there if I'm not at work. I got a turbo RX and a sandrail. My rail is powered by a 2.3L HO quad-4 injected. Not sure which I'll bring, the RX hasn't seen the sand yet. What day or days are we talking here? I'm off Sundays-Wed.

Too bad your going to Sand Lake. Now if you were going to the Oregon Dunes National Park (Coos Bay, OR), I would meet up with you, as I will be there that weekend. Not sure what I'm going in as of yet, (Hmm, the Turbo or the Legacy, decisions, decisions).

Either way, I like the Dunes Park a little better, bigger, better dunes, more beach!!

How did the trip go? Pictures?

NF was great! Set up orange markers on the way there and ran into two groups of lost people thanking us for doing so. No more getting lost! Went down to the shore for the first time, took the chance and headed down past the little stream. The Northern Washington group should get together for a bbq before september ends. I have to get a set date, but late next month somewhere south pre-Seattle, would probably work best. Let me know what you think.

trip went great, had a good time next time will make sure I have 2 fans on the rad , as it would warm up a bit and would let it cool, this was only when I got on it really hard like hitting a big hill, it went better then I had hoped it would, will most likely go again next year , had a blast Scott

those rear tires are 31 x 13.5 sx swampers balding , just a test I did , looks good , the next day I ran the 215/75 -15 all around about 8psi which ran better , those 31s were a little overkill
