I noticed my 96 OBS doesnt have nearly as much power as my 92 Legacy. I know my 92 was only fwd and should fell a little quicker b/c theres no awd but when I checked the throttle it only opens a little more then 3/4 wot. How can I adjust it? I know about the slack adjustment on the throttle body and that didnt really help at all. Any ideas? I would measure the voltage to see what the tps sensor is reading but my multimeter is at home and Im at school 6 hrs away.

Thanks

Jon

So you had someone push the throttle all the way, and you could still turn the throttle plate by hand to its fully opened position?

I think there's a cable adjustment, that's what needs to be adjusted. If it can't be adjusted properly, you'll need to purchase a new throttle cable.

I had the same problem when I first got my 95 Impreza. I just found a nut that was about as thick as the slack, hacksawed a slit in it, and slipped it over the cable by the end at the gas pedal. It has worked flawlessly, and has been since 1999.
