Harry Fassett Posted June 10, 2005 Share Posted June 10, 2005 I changed the fluid and filter in my 96 OB automatic transmission and now it slips when shifting from 1st to 2nd. Once it catches in 2nd every thing is OK. All the other shifting seems normal and every thing was fine before I changed the fluid. I had to move a tube out of the way to remove my filter. Midwst Posted June 10, 2005 Share Posted June 10, 2005 I'm not sure if I can help you, but do you have any idea what the tube was that you moved out of the way? Can you trace it back to its source? Also, how many miles on the car? Did you switch from regular trans fluid to synthetic? how did you check the fluid level after you were done?
