jjg43
Hey everyone, I just joined the board today. The reason I joined is because I am thinking of buying a 05 WRX (not the sti). I just wanted to get a little feedback on these cars. I don't know anything about them except the performance. Are they dependable? Do they have any problems I should know about before buying? I've never had a Subaru before and I would just like to know a little before I buy. I am a big fan of BMWs but after owning a couple of them, the maintenance on these are just too much! I look forward to joining the Subaru community but I just wanted a little bit of input on the WRX before I buy. I guess I want to know if they have any BIG issues I should be aware of. I'm sure you all love them! Thanks, Phil
RedRum
Ever consider the Saab 9-2X Aero? It is basically a WRX wagon with a couple small differences. Right now you can get one for $6000 less than a WRX using the GM incentives and "everyone buys using the employee discount price" promotion they have. You can get a nice one for under $20K until July 5. I am considering but can't pull the trigger.
RallyKeith
If you haven't already, you need to go to http://www.nasioc.com and http://www.i-club.com Both are Impreza specific boards and they will have much more info on the WRX then we have here. Not that we can't give you a good idea, but most of the people here are dealing with all the different models of subaru. Over there they are basically all RS, WRX, and STi people. Oh, and as long as you aren't abusive to the car there are no major problems. They've had some issues with things like over active ABS and clutches that shutter when cold, but they've got that all worked out now.
