Phillip
Does anyone know how many years Subaru built the 1999 Legacy Outback body style? I'm looking at a cargo divider for my car on e-bay and wondered what years would interchange.

Martinjmpr
I think it's actually 1995-99. Seems like Subaru has been pretty consistent with 5-year changes in the body style. The only change I'm aware of for '97 was the addition of the hood scoop. Otherwise I believe the 95 and 96 models are identical.
Commuter
This generation of Legacy was introduced in 95 in North America and ran to 99. 2000 was a new model again. The Outback was just a trim level of the wagon in 1995. It got it's more known look (raised suspension, raised roofline, bumpers, hood scoop, etc) in 1996. Some changes were made thru the various years up to 99. (Eg, the 2.5L engine in 96 was 155 hp; it became 165 hp starting in 97.) The "cars101" site is a good place for this information as Jamie indicates. Commuter
