Internal head gasket leak in my 99 Legacy Outback and want to repair it so that it will not happen again. I am looking at upgrading to Cometic head gaskets as a superior alternative to OEM, but know that Subaru has upgraded the HG version now in my engine. The info on line about repeat HG failures is daunting and I will spend some extra $$ to overbuild and avoid revisiting this. I play/drive in the desert and it is often hot so I am also considering a bigger radioator, higher performance fan and/or putting in an oil cooler. Will be going into the dealer tomorrow.
