Andrew tells me that its a 77 cause of a few things on it (4WD badge on the back and some minor stuff) but the regestration says it is a 79. Can anyone help me tell the difference between a 77 and a 79 cause I'm really confused. my vin # is A67L049907. I drove it to Andrew's house in Albany from the other side of Sweet Home. Guest subyguy Posted July 31, 2003 Share Posted July 31, 2003 unless im wrong which i could be, if it has dual headlights on it then its a gl and its a 79, the dl had single round headlights and dual headlights didnt come out tilll 78....... now thats from memory and i havnt been looking at that newer stuff in a while(lol) so dont hold me to it im shure moossens can clear this one up. Guest Caboobaroo Posted August 1, 2003 Share Posted August 1, 2003 I finally got all of the dirt and crud off of the door jamb so I can tell what year it is. It says that it is a very early '79 (9/7:cool: but its stil very cool. I got a set of Cal-Masters to put on it and I'm planning on painting it a dark blue. I don't realy want to 4x4 it cause its still in pretty nice shape (besides, Andrew has his 4x4 so we can just take that ) The color is that beige yellowy color with a brown interior. The driver side fender looks like it was hit in the front where the turn signal is but I found a fender off of a brat in a local wrecking yard for 10 bucks!!!The rear wiper has some problems but its just because a couple of the wires connected to it have been broken off of it.
