Tiger Mountain Posted July 13, 2005 Share Posted July 13, 2005 Does anyone know if Subaru did anything to change the design of the 2004/2005 2.5 L engine (normally aspirated) to solve the problem of the head gaskets that exists with the Phase II engines? Sweet82 Posted July 13, 2005 Share Posted July 13, 2005 Welcome to the board, They were supposed to have solved that back in 2000, but it appears as though it's not totally solved. The only thing I know about is the recall involving the "Coolant Conditioner". I'm not convinced this did anything to stop the problem either...
