I have both cars and they are both automatic i just want to start a project with my 1980 HB and make it fuel injected, i do have and 1987 with an EA82T that i will be pulling everything from. Is there special parts i need to swap besides the power train and ecm??? aka fuel pump, steering colum, ect.??

you need the fuel pump, and all the fuel lines, since the EFI lines are bigger. To make it REALLY easy, you could go find an EA81T car, and swap the whole harness out of it, and use it with the EA82 engine, but you'd need an 85-86 EA82..

And don't you know, turbos are the debbil!

--sorry couldn't resist, with the Bobby Boucher and all

the only reson i ask is because i have a 1980 scooby hatch with 70,000 original miles and i want to swap the engine from the 1987 Gl-10 into it and give it a little more kick. i was also contumplating making it 4wd rather then fwd.

i am still planning the brat rx conversion once i sell my rx off. i already have the turbo cross membr and wiring harness, i just need the engine that will go into it. well, until i get my race worthy engine built. i also want to find a 5 spd d/r tranny. hmmm, maybe i should worry about selling the rx and geting a brat first. i hope the brat i want is still available once i have money for it.
