bigMfer Posted July 27, 2005 Share Posted July 27, 2005 When I drive the suby it makes a revolution rubbing noise with the speed of the ire. Very notacable when under 35MPH. It sounds like something is rubbing the inside wheel rim on the driver side. If I look at the car parked I can't see anything making contact or anything worn. Ideas? Andyjo Posted July 27, 2005 Share Posted July 27, 2005 are you sure it's the tire? have you seen any noticable wearing on any of the tires? what i'm thinking is bearings. last time mine went in the wear it was sort of a rolling noise... might want to get that checked out! gbhrps Posted July 27, 2005 Share Posted July 27, 2005 BigMfer, The symptoms you describe could be due to a sticking brake pad on one side of the rotor, or as suggested, a wheel bearing. If its a wheel bearing, in a safe place, accelerate to speed and swerve the car from side to side. The noise should take on different tones and volumes when driving straight ahead, versus turning right or left, as the loads are shifted to the sides of the bearings.
