Yeah thanks Brad......too bad you didn't just not bid then I would have gotten it at a nice price....but you got excited,I understand.

I recognized your eBay name right away.Too bad you didn't recognize mine or check the list.Unless you just drove up the price for a friend....hmmmmmm.

I think there might be one on the road here in the US.There was a guy who claimed to have the complete set up last year or so.But,the guy was a wongleflute and pulled it out from under me when my father inlaw died and I needed a day to get to things. He wanted $150 for the whole deal.

I'll be putting together a 1600 with the dual carbs on a bench getting it ready to drop into my '78.

These Duel CArb intakes generally came on 30, 000 mile Jap motors......If you get one with all the linkage your good to go .....Hard to find though......:(

I have personally driven 2 Gen One Brats with this set up, and both of them had Gobbs of Get up and Go......

One of them I could Burn tires off in 2WD all the way into 4th gear....

The other was a bit more tired in the drive train, and would only light them up into 3rd......:brolleye:

I know they are available for 1800 motors also, And one guy at WCSSIII had one set up in his Hatch, But I've never driven one of them , so Can't say how they do.....?

I will say that if you get one Use it with stock carbs though......

We tried to stuff webers on one of the Brats, And it got entirely too much fuel...:(

Later, John in Oregon.....

ummm.... i think that was aimed at me. but my name isn't brad and i didn't bid. i am not king william. as i said, i was going to bid at the last minute, but didn't. and i don't get it, should i have not bid, just cause you were in on it?

anyway, the original question, where do these originally come from? what cars?

No,don't take that for anything....just messing with the king.

John, doesn't matter to me.I had my limit and that was right where it was.If you bid more you'd have gotten it and I wouldn't have cried about it.

My only bitch is that I just have to pay a few bucks more when the other bidder drove it up.That's life in the eBay game.I'm done snivelling....
