I am familiar with the normal clicking and knocking of FWD CV joints...but have noticed that these sounds are much harder to hear on a AWD system. Is there another way to check if the CV joints are bad, besides listening for noise? Thanks.

I think that they sound about the same. They were loud and clear when I changed mine, but maybe they were gone already??? YMMV.
